Consolidated Building Maintenance, Inc.(CBM) started the business as service contractor on February 2, 1967 under the full management and control of Mr. Salvador Ortañez(President/Owner). The services of CBM Inc when it started are Building Maintenance and Housekeeping. The start of CBM is also the start of the well know MAKATI MEDICAL CENTER (MMC) wherein MMC was one of CBM first client. Aside from MMC, included in the first list of clients are Progressive Development Corporation (now Araneta Group of Companies) Solid Bank, Philippine Heart Center, Hospital ng Bagong Lipunan (now East Avenue Medical Center), Ali Mall and US Embassy. Getting stronger in 45 years of Business Operation, now with five thousand personnel who are continuously improving & delivering Facilities Management and Engineering Services such as Plant Operations and Maintenance, Housekeeping and Sanitation Services, Messengerial Services, Elevator Operation and other allied services to various clients – most of which are multinational industrial corporations, hospitals, fast food restaurants, government institutions, entertainment centers, embassies & banks in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.

Because of the very active, hardworking and good management operation strategies of the owner/President, Mr. Salvador S. Ortañez, he was able to put up different kinds of services that are needed in a corporation. These services are support to the main business of the company. The company has well-equipped personnel & experts in their field. The Engineering Department is manned by licensed engineers and skilled technicians who acquired expertise from construction industries and building maintenance locally & abroad. The Housekeeping Department is composed of competent management team. Field Staffs are well-screened and had passed the course in Housekeeping and Sanitation offered and conducted by its affiliate, School of Home & Building Care- the only school of its kind recognized by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

To deliver complete and full supported services to clients, CBMI also offers various cleaning and maintenance supplies through its affiliate, Cleanshop Phils. Inc.(formerly named Klenco Industries, Phils.) - a "one stop shop” - top provider/distributor of cleaning and maintenance products and a member of International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA). In addition, we are also using a state of the art dry carpet cleaning system using a special granules made from 98% natural and renewable resources – wood and corn based bio-degradable and completely phosphate-free. This tried and tested cleaning system from Germany with his renovator function, the special granules and or the special crystallization cleaner provides for a deep thorough cleaning and guarantees a hygienic and deep clean result.

In 2004, as CBM searched for ways of improving its services and to have an edge in the market, they found CWorks Computerized Maintenance Management System (CWorks CMMS). End of 2005, after a year of negotiation, testing the product, and thorough evaluation, CBM management decided to sign a contract with CWorks System Berhad (Malaysia) – author & developer of CWorks CMMS – to be its local support & sole distributor of CWorks products in the Philippines.

CBM INC, DO 18 – A and PMAP

CBM Inc is a LICENSED DEPARTMENT ORDER 18 – A, Series 2011. Its management is strictly following the implementing guidelines set by DOLE. Because of this, CBM Inc is not just a simple manpower agency but a CERTIFIED JOB CONTRACTOR COMPANY under DO 18 – A, Series 2011.

Because of the strict implementation set by the management of CBM Inc. all CBM Clients companies are following the DO 18 – A guidelines.

Aside from this, CBM is also an active member of PMAP. PMAP is one of the biggest management organizations in the Philippines wherein almost all members are multinational companies and belongs to top 5000 corporations.
